WWE released one of its top female superstars, Zelina Vega, reportedly on differences from the company’s new third-party edict.
Vega also released her own statement on the matter, in which she said this would not be the last time we will see her. She added that she was heartbroken but is willing to go down like someone who stood up for herself.
WWE has reached an agreement on the release of Zelina Vega. We wish you all the best in your future endeavors. Https://t.co/RUebMGwBTA

Zelina Vega spoke about continuing to broadcast on her Twitch account despite the edict, which led to WWE releasing her around two weeks after the ban was implemented, according to reports from PWInsider.
Ten minutes before WWE’s announcement of his release, Vega tweeted that he supports unionization, and the WWE Universe was quick to connect the dots. Vega has consistently supported the unionization talks of another superstar, Paige, who has been one of the loudest protesters in WWE taking over Twitch accounts about her talents.
I support unionization.

In a recent update on the subject, Dave Meltzer of Wrestling Observer Radio shed light on the Zelina Vega booth and behind-the-scenes resentment over the third party plight.
Zelina Vega made more money on Twitch than on WWE
Dave Meltzer said (H / T WrestlingNews.co) that sources told her that some WWE Superstars were earning more from social media than WWE, and Zelina Vega was one of them. He understandably stood by his decision to continue streaming, and in the meantime, he also opened a new OnlyFans account.
So essentially, as you all know, the talent was given a deadline to ditch their Twitch and Cameo accounts. During that period of time, Zelina Vega did not get rid of him and opened an OnlyFans account. The back story of this and it’s funny because a person told me when it happened that there are a couple of women who are making more money with their social networks than with WWE and that they are going to be really interesting and one of them was Zelina Vega. “
“On her Twitch she’s making a lot of money and it’s like what do you do in that situation and I think she made her decision and they had to fire her …”
WWE’s behind-the-scenes resentment over third-party ban
Meltzer also noted that there is a lot of “behind-the-scenes resentment” in WWE right now over the third party ban.
For one thing, the superstars are working primarily one day a week now, two if there is a PPV event, rather than being on the road all the time. They want to make money with the overtime to make up for it.
But WWE, from a corporate standpoint, doesn’t want to allow talents to use their company-owned ring name and make money from it. Meltzer pointed out that if WWE treated talents as “employees” then this decision would have more basis. But WWE considers the superstars to be independent contractors and they don’t get all the benefits for the employees. Ideally, that should allow them to earn money elsewhere.
Meltzer also spoke about how Gabrielle Carteris, president of the SAG-AFTRA union, reached out to Zelina Vega and thanked her for standing up for labor solidarity.
Hello @Zelina_VegaWWE Thank you for standing firm for labor solidarity. I support you. Please send me an email [email protected] https://t.co/tYEiiFhB9S

Goldberg’s last appearance on WWE Raw revealed
WWE Hall of Famer Goldberg returned to WWE in 2016 after a more than a decade hiatus from the company. He would then defeat Brock Lesnar in a squash match at Survivor 2016 and then win the Universal Championship against Kevin Owens in 2017. He defended his title against Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania 33 in one of the show’s main events. As stated in his contract, Vince McMahon can only get him to compete in one more match this year, so it has to mean something. Goldberg also admitted teasing Ric Flair for being too old to be in the ring in the past. Goldberg also sent a bold message to a WWE Superstar a couple of months ago.
Goldberg finally returned to WWE television when he appeared on this week’s episode of Monday Night RAW after Bobby Lashley successfully defended his WWE Championship against a returning Keith Lee. Subsequently, Goldberg appeared and challenged Bobby Lashley for a WWE Championship match declaring that he is next.
WWE is also announcing Goldberg for two more appearances on Monday Night RAW. He is scheduled to appear on the August 2 and 16 episode of the show. Raw on August 16 could be Goldberg’s last under his 3-year contract with WWE, signed in the spring of 2019 for 2 matches per year.
Bray Wyatt ‘medical issues’ in WWE Leak
‘The Fiend’ Bray Wyatt has not been on WWE programming since the April 12 edition of WWE Monday Night Raw, recently defeated by Randy Orton at WWE WrestleMania 37 the night before. With this, fans and members of the WWE universe have been wondering where Wyatt has been and how come he hasn’t been fighting in a WWE ring. Bray Wyatt ‘not returning’ to WWE?
In an attempt to answer this, Steve Carrier of Ringside News recently asked about Bray Wyatt’s condition, where he was told that Wyatt’s absence is due to a “medical” issue.
The publisher and owner of Ringside News stated via Twitter: “There are rumors about Bray Wyatt. One story circulating is that he is off WWE television for “personal” reasons. We have been told that your absence is considered “medical” and not personal. It is still advertised for the August 9 RAW in Orlando as well. Stay tuned.”
In other Bray Wyatt news, in a recent interview by Bill Apter, wrestling legend and Bray Wyatt’s uncle, Barry Windham spoke about how his nephew is currently being used in WWE. Credit to SEScoops for the following quotes.
Bray Wyatt ‘broke character’ before WWE SmackDown “I hope he makes the cut in WWE, we’ll just have to see,” Windham said when asked about Bray Wyatt. It’s been (a great performer), it just hasn’t been used properly there. “
However, Windham claimed that he has not seen many of Wyatt’s matches as the Demon in WWE, but has seen the vignettes that he has done as the character. The wrestling legend continued:
“You know I haven’t really seen any of his matches, I’ve only seen some of the little vignettes that he’s done. He was always ready to be a fighter growing up. “

WWE Brings back the world champion for the return match
Samoa Joe will compete in a ring once more. The last time Samoa Joe was in a WWE ring was on the February 10 episode of Raw. Here Joe, Kevin Owens, and The Viking Raiders took on Seth Rollins, Buddy Murphy, and AOP in a losing effort. Joe would then work as a color commentator for WWE Monday Night Raw until his release from the company on April 15, 2021. Joe would re-sign in June and be named enforcer to NXT General Manager William Regal. Did Vince McMahon ‘infuriate’ this former NXT star in a text message?
After NXT Champion Karrion Kross strangled Samoa Joe, he laid the groundwork for a possible fight between Kross and Joe. It is now reported that Kross Vs Joe will take place for the Kross NXT Championship at NXT TakeOver 36. The event will take place on August 22, 2021.
In other Samoa Joe news, former NXT Champion Johnny Gargano commented on Joe’s last season with WWE NXT during a recent interview with TV Insider. The NXT mainstay stated: “Samoa Joe is a legend. You cannot replace the mind you have. He has done so many things in this business, even long before WWE. I was a fan of Samoa Joe when I was in high school. Everything he does, he does it successfully.
This fired WWE NXT employee recently leaked his paycheck. Continuing Gargano said: “Having Joe in this new role in NXT brings a breath of fresh air and brings this new dynamic. I am very excited about what he will do in the future. Whenever it is on the screen, it is essential television. “
