Triple H addressed the now historic war between WWE NXT and AEW’s flagship show Dynamite. During an interview on a recent Cheap Heat episode with Peter Rosenberg, Triple H talked about AEW referring to Wednesday night’s War as “imaginary”, but also talked about how the switch from NXT to Tuesday will be beneficial to them as a brand. . Credit to Wrestling Inc for the following. Will Triple H bring back this former WWE champion?
“The promotion opportunity for us is much better on a Tuesday and also not having to have a narrative in which it is constantly about an imaginary war or this imaginary battle,” said Triple H. “People can say what they want, but the truth is that you compete against everything. If you are creating a television product or content and that is the world we live in, it is not television or the Internet that is the content. That’s all. You’re constantly competing for eyes and time against everything under the sun, including sleep and time to do other things, video games, Tik Tok, and everything else out there.
“So having your own space where you don’t have to have an additional imaginary battle stacked against him, it’s kind of nice. The most important fact is to have an advantage from Tuesday to Wednesday. When we started, NXT was Wednesday for The Network viewers. The transition to the US and the desire to keep that consistency for those who were watching on The Network so they would know where to find it and not get confused with SmackDown leaving Tuesday and people joining in and finding something else. The time has already passed, and this is a great opportunity for us to have that advantage for Monday Night RAW, get that promotional window for Monday Night RAW, get to Tuesday’s and continue to deliver the product.
It was recently revealed that Triple H was “furious” with this AEW star. In response to this, prominent wrestling journalist Dave Meltzer took to social media via Twitter to react to Triple H’s comments. In a series of tweets, Meltzer stated how the calls and emails he received from his sources ended up being ‘imaginary’. as he said, “Do you ever wake up one day with the idea that hundreds of phone calls, emails, and text messages from multiple primary sources over a two-year period were actually imaginary?” Meltzer would elaborate on responding to a wrestling fanatic when he said, “History lesson. The wars you win really happened. The wars you lost weren’t really wars in the first place, or if you admit them, you claim imaginary reasons to lose. “
