The Rock hosted Smackdown on the status of WWE’s flagship show, WWE Monday Night Raw during an appearance on Stone Cold Steve Austin’s A&E biography special. The Brahma Bull stated during the documentary how terribly cartoonish the show’s writing was during the 1990s and referred to the transition from that time period to the more “raw” Attitude era that preceded it. Wrestling-Edge transcribed The Rock’s comments. The Rock recently leaked this amazing photo of a WWE diva.
“Everyone felt this interesting change that was happening in wrestling. That seismic shift was now scared from the age of cartoons, the age of superheroes, to a more daring and reality-based show. ” The WWE legend added the following, discussing his legendary fight with Stone Cold Steve Austin: “In the world of professional wrestling, you can only control so much. After that, it becomes intangible. And that intangible, what everyone is looking for, is chemistry ”.
In other The Rock news, during the same bio special, Stone Cold Steve Austin recalled his thoughts and memories and talked about his classic match with “The People’s Champion” at WrestleMania 19. Credit to Wrestling Inc for the quotes below.
Stone Cold Steve Austin vs. The Rock was just censored by Peacock. Austin said: “Almost no one on the list that day knew it was going to be my last game,” Austin said. “My nerves were altered from my previous spinal injury and I knew it was going to be my last.
Austin continued, “As you can see, I still get excited because I even talk about the story and go back there. I almost started crying at the documentary. My love for the business is so much, it’s the only thing I really wanted to do in my life for a living. Deciding to withdraw from that dream at age 38 was extremely difficult. “
The Rock “rejected” this great WrestleMania match. Austin concluded: “Normally, when someone wins a match, they stay in the ring. Rock won, but as I was leaving, he left me the ring so I could do my final goodbye. He gave me that moment and it was really cool. “
Adam Pearce ‘removed’ from Smackdown
Adam Pearce did not appear on WWE Smackdown, as the creative did not want him to get in the way of Teddy Long’s return for the old school episode. Teddy Long admonished Seth Rollins in a match against Cesaro, with Cesaro winning and getting a title shot against Roman Reigns at Backlash.
He also taunted Sami Zayn with a variety of backstage matches with Sonya Deville, referencing his love for “tag team” matches.
The recent issue of A&E Biography primarily focused on WWE Hall of Famer Randy Savage and Jerry Lawler went on to share a story about him.
Jerry Lawler comments on a WCW debut
Veteran WWE commentator Jerry Lawler had shared the story about Randy Savage making his WCW debut and how Vince McMahon came to find out.
PWinsider’s Mike Johnson clarified that the story Lawler shared was “completely wrong.” It seems Lawler misremembered Lex Luger’s jump to WCW in the first episode of Nitro.
According to what Lawler said, Vince McMahon was looking for Savage to go over the Raw format but it was not the case since he was not there and they told him to watch television.
Lawler then went on to describe Vince’s non-reaction to seeing Savage on television at WCW that night.
But, Nitro did not exist when Savage left the WWF in November 1994. McMahon, live on Raw said goodbye to Savage and thanked him for his contributions to the WWF. Stephanie McMahon breaks silence on Randy Savage
Mike Johnson pointed out that Macho Man didn’t debut for WCW until a December 1994 episode of WCW Saturday Night and that was recorded.
Therefore, it is obvious that the episode did not air in front of a WWF broadcast that same night.
There could be mistakes when recalling incidents that occurred decades ago. But it’s a shame the A&E production team didn’t review the facts and broadcast them unverified.
There were also some other graphical errors that were observed during the broadcast. Lex Luger was listed as Lex Lugar.

Shane McMahon Major AEW Rumor Leaks
Braun Strowman is a former universal champion and is one of the mainstays of WWE Monday Night RAW. Despite being a huge monster as part of the company’s stories, he is the opposite person in real life. Shane McMahon had been involved in a fight with Braun Strowman for the past few months and culminated in a steel cage match at WrestleMania 37, and Shane demanded the fight and put Braun with his punch backstage. In the end, Braun Strowman was the one who won the match despite Shane McMahon’s best efforts. Shane McMahon also demanded defeat at WrestleMania 37.
AEW Dynamite recently held their Blood and Guts match which turned out to be a very violent affair as it pitted The Pinnacle against The Inner Circle. According to a report by Ringside News, the match was said to be a huge topic of discussion in WWE and was viewed as a barbaric match with all the “bloodshed” that took place.
AEW Blood & Guts received a lot of attention from fans and within WWE. We have been told that many within WWE saw the match as “a bad image” with all the barbarian barbarians. Plus, Chris Jericho is trying to be Shane McMahon now after that high spot. More to come @ringsidenews

Andrade drops WWE “arrest” bomb
It has recently been confirmed that newly released WWE star Andrade will face Alberto Del Rio in one of his first matches after being released from WWE. The match will take place at a professional wrestling event in McAllen, Texas, on July 31. This caused quite a stir among professional wrestling fans and members of the WWE universe alike, given Del Rio’s legal past. Indeed, Del Rio’s recent trial to determine whether or not he is guilty of sexual assault was has delayed, from May to August. If convicted, Del Rio could face life in prison. Andrade’s “bad check” recently surprised many WWE fans.
In a follow-up to this story, Andrade recently took to social media via Instagram to post a post that is arguably quite deaf at best, given the circumstances. In the post, Andrade is sitting in a courtroom, behind the judge’s bench, stating that he appears to hint at Del Rio’s innocence and that the “case is closed.” Also, the multiple laughing emojis suggest that this should be taken in a “lighthearted” way. The full caption reads: “I declare you not guilty! Case closed. You plead not guilty! Case closed “. You can see Andrade’s full post on the former WWE Champion below.
