Sasha Banks ‘Lost Fans’ at WrestleMania 37

Published

on

Sasha Banks and Bianca Belair’s WrestleMania main event reportedly lost fans, with many leaving early according to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter. Sasha Banks was “buried” by a WWE icon after WrestleMania.

Dave Meltzer wrote: “Several noticed that a lot of people left the first night before the Banks vs. Belair. I was not there and the reports varied, but the reports when the match started indicated that the number was high and it was very visible on camera in the early part of the match. “

Stephanie McMahon just posted the following note about WrestleMania:

Good morning,

On Saturday night, I stood on the stage at Raymond James Stadium, surrounded by WWE Superstars, in front of a 103-foot-long pirate ship, and gazed out into a sea of fans. My father, WWE President and CEO Vince McMahon, addressed the crowd and said, “Throughout the past year, our WWE Superstars have performed tirelessly for all of you. Week after week, month after month, but we all knew that something was missing, something very important, THE most important, and that it would be all of you, our fans, the WWE Universe. And as we emerge from this terrible pandemic on behalf of our entire WWE family, we would just like to thank you and welcome you to WRESTLEMANIA. “

The 25K attendees exploded and the rest of us had tears in our eyes; reinforcing the meaning behind our new company signature that started the show, “So. Now. Forever. Together.”

WrestleMania aired exclusively from its new home in Peacock in the US and WWE Network around the world, ran for two nights and made history.

Sasha Banks and Bianca Belair became the first black Superstars in the WrestleMania main event. We had live musical performances from Bebe Rexha, Wale, Ash Costello, and Ashland Craft, and Grammy Award-winning artist Bad Bunny and YouTube influencer Logan Paul got into the action inside the ring. Bad Bunny’s performance received praise from ESPN and touted it as “… one of the most impressive performances by a celebrity in the ring, if not the most impressive.”

WWE also secured a record 14 new and returning frontline partners for WrestleMania, including Snickers as Presenter Partner for the sixth year in a row and Main Event Presenting Partner, NBCUniversal, Papa John’s, Cricket Wireless, P & G’s Old Spice, DraftKings, 2K , Nissin. and Credit One Bank.

Across all social media content on YouTube, WWE.com, and WWE during WrestleMania Week, video views reached 1.1 billion, 31 million hours of content were consumed, and WWE-related content logged 115 million interactions. WrestleMania was also the most social show in the world on both nights of the weekend, with 71 Twitter trends in the US alone.

For the first time ever, we launched an NFT series with The Undertaker, had record weekend ecommerce sales at WrestleMania, and record merchandise sales per capita at the stadium.

WWE Superstars and Executives participated in over 300 interviews to promote our WrestleMania celebration, including appearances on Jimmy Kimmel Live !, TODAY Show, ESPN Get Up, FOX & Friends, E! and Access Hollywood. And as we always want to leave our host city better than when we arrived, we carried out more than 10 community activations throughout the week, from our community caravan where we recognized 11 local community leaders; teaming up with FOX Sports and Good Sports to donate sports equipment to Special Olympics Florida; and working with Feeding Tampa Bay, the University of FL IFAS program, the Healthy Living Coalition, Nestlé Waters and the Tampa Bay Sports Commission to dedicate the first of five sustainable community gardens in the Tampa Bay area to combat the food insecurity.

It takes the efforts of so many different people to make WrestleMania happen, especially during a global pandemic. Thanks to our friends, partners, employees, and of course our Superstars for making it possible.

I hope to see you all in person soon,

Steph

Leaks in Rey Mysterio’s AEW paycheck offer

Published

on

Rey Mysterio may not go broke anytime soon as he is being pushed towards WWE and AEW. While Rey may be a huge draw even to this day, it’s only fitting that WWE doesn’t want to part with him, but money talks …Eva Marie ‘Squats’ in tight pants photos.

AEW offered Rey Mysterio a contract when he left WWE before his son came to WWE with him. Rey was working on circuits that weren’t up to WWE standards, but not on small circuits, however. When Rey came out, AEW approached him and offered him a large sum of money, which was more than WWE wanted to pay him to jump on their brand.

WWE then countered the offer by increasing his offer and Vince also told Rey that he would also break up with Dominik Mysterio. Rey, of course, agreed to the WWE deal for her son to join the company. All this news comes to us from Dave Meltzer.

Dave stated on the F4Wonline.com forums: “AEW matched and actually exceeded Rey’s salary, and Vince had to raise to match them and give Dominik his break to keep it up.”

Adam Pearce ‘removed’ from Smackdown

Published

on

Adam Pearce did not appear on WWE Smackdown, as the creative did not want him to get in the way of Teddy Long’s return for the old school episode. Teddy Long admonished Seth Rollins in a match against Cesaro, with Cesaro winning and getting a title shot against Roman Reigns at Backlash.

He also taunted Sami Zayn with a variety of backstage matches with Sonya Deville, referencing his love for “tag team” matches.

The recent issue of A&E Biography primarily focused on WWE Hall of Famer Randy Savage and Jerry Lawler went on to share a story about him.

Jerry Lawler comments on a WCW debut

Veteran WWE commentator Jerry Lawler had shared the story about Randy Savage making his WCW debut and how Vince McMahon came to find out.

PWinsider’s Mike Johnson clarified that the story Lawler shared was “completely wrong.” It seems Lawler misremembered Lex Luger’s jump to WCW in the first episode of Nitro.

According to what Lawler said, Vince McMahon was looking for Savage to go over the Raw format but it was not the case since he was not there and they told him to watch television.

Lawler then went on to describe Vince’s non-reaction to seeing Savage on television at WCW that night.

But, Nitro did not exist when Savage left the WWF in November 1994. McMahon, live on Raw said goodbye to Savage and thanked him for his contributions to the WWF. Stephanie McMahon breaks silence on Randy Savage

Mike Johnson pointed out that Macho Man didn’t debut for WCW until a December 1994 episode of WCW Saturday Night and that was recorded.

Therefore, it is obvious that the episode did not air in front of a WWF broadcast that same night.

There could be mistakes when recalling incidents that occurred decades ago. But it’s a shame the A&E production team didn’t review the facts and broadcast them unverified.

There were also some other graphical errors that were observed during the broadcast. Lex Luger was listed as Lex Lugar.
