Mike Bennett reveals how WWE is an audience of just one

Published

on

Mike Bennett and Maria Kanellis signed with WWE as a couple in 2017, debuting on the Money in the Bank pay-per-view. They used Maria’s maiden name, as she previously had a WWE career, and were known as the Kanellis couple.

The duo were released from WWE on April 15 as part of the mass layoff due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Bennett recently appeared for an interview on Hannibal’s television. He talked about various things, including his work experience with WWE and which Superstar is his dream opponent.

On working at WWE

In addition to WWE, Bennett has worked with various promotions, including IMPACT Wrestling, ROH, and NJPW. When asked about his work experience with WWE and IMPACT, Bennett praised the latter for giving wrestlers creative freedom.

He said that despite salary problems, he had a great time working there. But the case was not the same for WWE, where Superstars are expected to strictly follow the script approved by Vince McMahon.

Performing in WWE is like putting on a show for just one person in the audience, Bennett said, and the person is Vince McMahon.

“In WWE it’s how, that’s how it is. This is the script, this is the story, this is what Vince wants and you can’t get out of it and not even try. If you try, you’re in trouble and that’s very difficult and I’ve said it before, in WWE you fight to impress Vince. It is an audience of one. Everything you do is to impress Vince. “(H / t Sportskeeda)

“No one is fighting for the fans in WWE, where I feel like at Impact, we are trying to put the best product for the fans. In WWE you are just trying to keep your job and impress … I shouldn’t say impress, you are trying to do not disturb the boss. “

Bennett previously said in another interview that he had a much better time working with Triple H than Vince McMahon, and that The Game should direct the show instead.

Mike Bennett reveals the opponent of his dreams

Bennett revealed in the interview that the opponent he wants to face inside the ring is Edge. He revealed that the Rated-R superstar was not one of his favorites growing up. But after he went into the business himself and understood what goes on inside the ring, he began to realize and respect the work that Edge did, especially as a heel.

“It’s Edge. Edge, probably like the last … so Edge, when I was growing up and was like a ‘fan’ of wrestling, it was never one of my favorites. Then when I became a wrestler and really I understood wrestling 101 and psychology and all the things that go into being a wrestler, he became 100% my absolute favorite wrestler just by watching him move, work his heel. ” (H / t Sportskeeda)

Bennett also added that he believes Edge made a great contribution as a heel in helping Cena become the massive babyface he made.

“To me, I don’t think Cena will outgrow as much as he does without Heel Edge, without Edge being that filthy, disgusting, evil heel of Cena’s super babyface.

Bennett revealed that during his time in WWE, he got to know Edge not just as a wrestler but as a friend. The latter was kind and helpful to him, and also gave him tips to improve his performance.

WWF returns after 20 years with a new owner

Published

on

Say goodbye to WWE and welcome back to WWF! We have all been waiting for this moment to come and it is finally here.

Unfortunately, WWF’s proposed trademark is in no way associated with WWE, Vince McMahon, or HHH. The WWF trademark was purchased by Demperio Sports & Entertainment, LLC. They filed a trademark for the World Wrestling Federation in December 2020.

The trademark states that they plan to host “wrestling contests” and the remainder of the submission matches typical professional wrestling trademarks. It is included in the category “entertainment services”.

The submission that was for December 20, 2020 has not been reviewed by the trademark examiner. It can still be rejected or accepted. It seems highly likely that WWE will prevent this brand from being accepted because it could cause confusion with fans.

Although Vince McMahon and WWE have no direct link to this “new” WWF, it seems likely that Vince and WWE will get their hands in the WWF pot one more time to prevent the WWF trademark from materializing. It’s hard to say if they can really do much since they no longer own the trademark.

If anyone is going to do something, it may be the World Wildlife Fund that created the lawsuit with the WWF for Vince McMahon that originally forced Vince to “take out the F”. Then we can get back to having pandas t-shirts with steel chairs. Vince McMahon recently “gave up” on Rey Mysterio’s daughter.

Kurt Angle ‘retires’ from AEW Revolution debut

Published

on

Kurt Angle has revealed that his teaser videos are for his podcast, not for AEW Revolution, as you can see below, which is why he withdrew from debut consideration. Christian had a meeting with a big name from AEW.

WWE Hall of Famer Kurt Angle is a veteran in the world of professional wrestling and spent two decades in the business, competing in various promotions around the world. Angle saw how WWE changed before his very eyes and it seems he doesn’t have the best opinion of all the changes.

While speaking on The Kurt Angle Show, Angle talked about his second WWE run in 2017. Angle criticized the company’s booking structure compared to how it used to be in the 90s and 2000s.

He noted that in the past, WrestleMania cards would have been finalized in December of the previous year. However, nowadays the WrestleMania cards are generally not gathered until the week before the event, especially mentioning WrestleMania 35.

“It was really hard to guess who was going to fight whom,” Angle said. “Things were not as orderly as in previous years. They usually have the WrestleMania cards no later than December, this one wasn’t ready for quite a while. I don’t think they got the whole card together until the week before. [WrestleMania 35]. “

Kurt Angle would have his last match in the ring against Baron Corbin at WrestleMania 35, where he would lose the match. Angle is currently enjoying his life outside of professional wrestling and he seems to be doing well.

Vince McMahon ‘canceled’ Bray Wyatt’s return to WWE

Published

on

Vince McMahon canceled Bray Wyatt’s original WWE comeback match. Plans have been changing second by second in the WWE world for what seems like the last few months. Just when a story gets good, it changes to end it. It seems that the end is not in sight, as Vince McMahon has done it again with delays and changes in the things we expected.

At Wrestling Observer we have news about the upcoming Wrestlemania pay-per-view: “For WrestleMania, the lineup has Reigns vs. Edge for the Universal title and Sasha Banks vs. Bianca Belair for the women’s title as official matches. The Miz & John Morrison vs. Damien Priest & Bad Bunny.

WO continues: “Randy Orton vs. The Fiend, probably in a wacky stunt fight, would appear to be a sure thing since it was scheduled for Royal Rumble and backtracked. Asuka vs. Charlotte Flair seems to be on the show. It could be Braun Strowman versus Shane McMahon. The WWE title match certainly looks like Lashley versus Drew McIntyre. However, Vince McMahon decided this week that the show needs to be bigger and exploit the original ideas and how else we can use everyone, so people are looking forward to changes next week to the original lineup and direction. “

My take on all of this is that I love wacky stunt matches. It’s not too childish, but I want a show. With the death of Kayfabe; The only thing that draws me back is when WWE does something out of this crazy world.
