Like it or not, Goldberg is legendary. Now, not all of his matches fall into that category, but he is nonetheless a legend in the business. A huge superstar just spoke about her admiration for Goldberg. CM Punk ‘buries’ Rey Mysterio and MVP.
On the most recent broadcast of “The Kurt Angle Show,” Randy Orton made history by being the first guest on Kurt’s podcast. Randy Orton and the Olympic gold medalist talked about everything from personal life to wrestling, and then Randy deepened his love for Goldberg.
Orton stated that he was a huge fan of Goldberg growing up. Orton also said that he and his friends were also enthralled by Goldberg’s undefeated streak.
Randy said: “In high school, when I was just a fan, I loved watching Goldberg, man. I also have a fun Goldberg story. “
Randy Orton then talked about how he was so interested in Goldberg that he wanted to get a matching tattoo that Goldberg is known for.
While Randy Orton faced strong resistance from his mother in this regard, the former WWE champion still went to the tattoo studio with a photo of Goldberg’s design in 1998.
Orton goes into detail: “So it was 1998. Big Goldberg fan. I used to hang out with all my friends, and we were watching the undefeated streak as it happened and it just pumped up, right? So, I turned 18 and I wanted a tattoo. Mom said there are no tattoos. And, umm, you can probably guess where this is going. So now that I’m 18 and a great Goldberg brand. I go to the tattoo place and the tattoo artist, I tell him, I tell him, “I want this tattoo, and it was a picture from a magazine.”
Randy Orton stated that he did not get the tattoo and in hindsight he is glad that the tattoo artist dissuaded him from the plan.
“A fucking tribal Goldberg tattoo. So let’s see. I did not understand. I didn’t get it, but if you look, I have a symmetrical looking tribe here that I’ve messed with over the years, and what started it was the idea that it was going to be a duplicate of Goldberg’s tattoo. And the tattoo artist said, “Oh, you don’t want to get another man’s tattoo on your arm.” And looking back, it’s like, “Thanks, tattoo artist.” Orton remembered.
