Edge ‘winning’ the WWE title on Smackdown?

Published

on

Former WWE referee Jimmy Korderas discussed the possibility of Edge cancels Roman Reigns’ victory about him at WrestleMania since he was on top of Daniel Bryan in a new Wrestling Inc. Podcast interview.

“Now here’s the question, you’re going to make me have to go back and look at this, were Edge’s shoulders close to the ground or was he just on top of Daniel Bryan? If Edge was up but his shoulders were on the ground, then he was technically immobilized as well. BUT if he was on top of Daniel Bryan then maybe he has a complaint because he was technically not pinned down. He was also in direct contact with Daniel Bryan, so it can also be an outlet. “

Korderas said Edge should mention in kayfabe that he was not pinned down.

“Absolutely, because yeah, he’s not initiating the pin, but then again, he’s in direct contact with and on top of the person being poked. In theory, you have a complaint, and it is an unusual situation, which I have never encountered before. It would also be interesting to hear the perspectives of other referees on this.

You can institute instant replay. I’ve done that before. I don’t know if I’m the only one, but I think I was the first referee to institute instant replay in a wrestling match. It was Batista vs. Undertaker in a cage match on SmackDown, where they both came out of the cage on opposite sides, and we had to go back to replay to see if they landed at the same time. “You can listen to the full interview on Wrestling inc.
